What is the BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials?  

The BRCGS for Packaging Materials helps a site or operation to demonstrate they are providing quality-assured, legally compliant, and authentic products.  

BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials is not only used by food packaging producers, but also by producers of packaging for all applications across the supply chain.  

This certification provides a robust framework for packaging manufacturers in the production of safe packaging materials. As well as managing product quality to meet customers’ requirements while maintaining legal compliance.   

Certification against the Standard is recognised by many brand owners, retailers, food service companies and manufacturers around the world when assessing the capabilities of their suppliers.  

What does this mean for our customers? 

The awarding of this certification puts us in an established position to provide high-quality, compliant packaging to our customers.   

The certification also helps support our drive for sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging and our continual improvement via innovative solutions.    

Enabling Services Manager, Dave Medcalf, said “The end of June saw the company undergo the annual re-valuation audit of our compliance to the BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials.  

The fact that we achieved an AA+ rating for what was an unannounced audit, shows that all within the Company are operating to very high levels of compliance with our specified Food Packaging processes as normal working practice.”.
