We are delighted to share that we have received our 7th consecutive AA BRCGS certification rating, the highest rating since it was introduced in 2016. 

What is the BRCGS Packaging Materials Global Standard? 

The BRCGS Packaging Materials Global Standard helps a site or operation to demonstrate they are providing quality-assured, legally compliant, and authentic products. 

The first to be recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), BRCGS Packaging Materials is now in its 6th edition and has become the global industry benchmark. It is not only used by food packaging producers but also by producers of packaging for all applications across the supply chain. 

The Standard provides a robust framework for all types of packaging manufacturers to assist in the production of safe packaging materials as well as managing product quality to meet customers’ requirements while maintaining legal compliance.  

Certification against the Standard is recognised by many brand owners, retailers, food service companies and manufacturers around the world when assessing the capabilities of their suppliers. 

In addition to this, the certification helps support our drive for sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging and our continual improvement via innovative solutions.   

Our Enabling Services Manager, Dave Medcalf, said “The end of August saw the company undergo the annual re-valuation audit of their level of compliance to the BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials.  

To have such a thorough examination of our Food Packaging processes and to come out with only one minor non-conformance, and another AA rating result, is a testament to the sustained hard work and diligence that our staff put in to establish and maintain such a high level of compliance with Food Packaging and hygiene standards within our workplace”. 

The awarding of this certification puts us in an established position to provide high-quality, compliant packaging to our customers.
