Mock>it Helps Promote Paint Customer Cirka

Every company wants to make a splash when approaching new potential clients, and none more so than strategic retail and branding specialists, Cirka.

The company works extensively in the paint and coatings industry and wanted to market their services to this audience in an innovative and eye-catching way.

Cirka’s idea was to create paint tins featuring their own branding to send to prospects and new potential customers. Not only is the strategy perfectly aligned with the businesses they are targeting, it also demonstrates their creativity when putting together attention-grabbing pitches. For a company working in their sector, it is essential they come up with new ways to stand out from the crowd.

Cirka provided the label design for us to print and apply to the tins. The labels were printed onto a clear substrate, allowing the metal can to ‘show through’ to give the finished tin a sleek, clean, modern look which provided the perfect background to showcase the company’s brand.

Crucially, because they intend on sending the tins to a very specific number of companies, Cirka needed a short print run, and this is where our services really came into their own.

We’ve talked many times before of the advantages of digital printing over traditional flexo and litho, and this is a fantastic example of that in practice. Traditional printing is almost always subject to a minimum order quantity which might be tens of thousands of labels. Such a quantity would make Cirka’s idea unworkable because of the cost and because the vast majority of labels printed would be wasted.

But not so with digital. Because all the artwork is stored as a computer file, we can print a single label if required, or hundreds of thousands if needed. For Cirka, we printed a small sample – just enough for them to create the number of tins they needed and take their plans forward.

With their strategy now delivering results, the agency has already ordered more mocked up paint tins, this time on a silver background, to reach more prospects in the sector they are targeting.

Thanks to the flexibility of mock>it and our digital printing facility, Cirka were able to turn their creative ideas into reality, which is having a direct effect on their bottom line.
