We work with A-Chem to print labels for the relaunch of their brand, Timbashield, using premium digital label embellishments.

Meet the Brand! 

Founded in Derbyshire, at the heart of the UK, Timbashield is an independently owned manufacturer of premium quality exterior wood protection and paint products. 

Timbashield, the brainchild of Derbyshire-based firm A-Chem, was originally formed in 1965. The family-run business has dedicated itself to developing high-performance wood care products. Now in its third generation, Timbashield continues to uphold the traditions of manufacturing excellence and devotion to providing exceptional quality. 

Work with Springfield 

We have worked with A-Chem for approximately two years on this project, working alongside their team to achieve a premium packaging solution for their high-quality products. 

Timbashield also previously had issues with past suppliers where their labels were not sticking to the containers as well as they’d like. This was resolved with a simple yet effective solution – by improving the adhesive used.  

Premium Labels 

The business was looking for the best quality labels with various label finishes including spot varnishes and metallic features.  

Whilst wanting to achieve a premium look to attract consumers to their product, the business also required their labels to be appropriate for the product inside! This includes chemical resistance and a substrate suitable for solvent-based products.

The labels printed for Timbashield are printed on a Silver PP to create a striking metallic label which conveys the quality of this product, as well as spot gloss varnishes to further enhance the design and create texture.  

This includes 20,000 labels across 40 label sorts – which were printed in our 100% digital facility.  

Digital print provides incredible flexibility to A-Chem. This is thanks to fast lead times and no MOQs. Therefore, the business can place label orders when required and receive their labels quickly.
