Springfield Solutions has continued its programme of investing in leading edge manufacturing solutions where all of the investments are focused on “continuous improvement” in the efficiency of our operations. The Omega HSR 330 investment will increase productivity of the slitting, rewinding and final inspection stage of the production process. Setting up the machine is now a largely digital process, eliminating many of the manual processes of previous machines. This results in a significantly reduced set-up time before the job can progress. Even if only two minutes are saved per job, the cumulative impact over a month or a year is significant when the number of jobs presented to the machine is huge. This time can be redeployed to deliver more quality solutions to our clients.
