First and foremost, during this challenging time, we’d like to send our best wishes to all of our customers, suppliers and Springfield family friends. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are continuing to make adaptations and organisational and procedural changes on a daily basis. These include:
- All workers who can work from home are now working from home.
- Implemented ‘Social Distancing’ and latest government guidelines throughout our business.
- Staggered shift pattern to significantly reduce the number of staff on site.
Our business has been recognised by our industry body the BPIF (British Printing Industry Federation) as being part of a critical industry during the pandemic due to the supply of digital packaging artworks and printed labels for the Food, Hygiene and Health Care sectors. The BPIF statement reads:
“The BPIF has received clear confirmation that those involved in food production, processing, distribution, sale and delivery as well as those essential to the provision of other key goods that their staff will be designated as key workers during the pandemic.”
The digital artworks and labels we supply are for food products that end up on the supermarket shelves. We also provide digital artworks and labels for:
- Cleaning products used by the NHS.
- Hand sanitisers used by the Police and Armed Forces.
- Essential FMCG products for the major supermarket chains.
All of the above products are classed as essential during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Playing our part
Furthermore we are proud to announce that during these challenging times, we are playing our part in helping other key organisations.
Working with existing customers we have supplied 25,000 free labels that will be placed onto hand sanitisers for the British Armed Forces, NHS workers and those helping the homeless during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are actively looking at ways to provide help and assistance to key organisations during this time. Please feel free to contact us should you require our help during these challenging times.
