Quality Assured by Springfield’s Quality Assurance

Quality is to be expected by our customers, and it is something that we take to heart at Springfield, knowing how important it is we ensure to work to the highest possible standards.

That is why we are delighted to announce we have passed our recent ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 audit with no minor or major non-conformances for the second year running.

ISO 14001 allows businesses to increase the sustainability of their day-to-day operations. The ISO 14001 standard provides guidance for Springfield on how we operate our procurement, storage, distribution, product development, manufacturing, etc. In order to reduce the impact on the environment.

Not only that, the ISO 14001 standard ensures we retain our high level of trust with customers. With increased sustainability, we continue to improve our reputation in the packaging industry.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised Quality Management System. This accreditation helps us to monitor and manage quality across the business so you can identify areas for improvement. It is well known to be the most recognised quality management system standard across the world.

Joint managing director Dennis Ebeltoft explained why this outstanding achievement provides tremendous benefits to our current and future customers:

“Working to the new ISO9001 2015 standard significantly increases awareness to the entire business of the goals and objectives within our Quality Management System. With the new 2015 standard and our SWOT analysis, it’s allowed us to look at the positive attributes of our processes and any possible shortfalls which can be systematically addressed to ensure compliance going forward.”

“This approach not only allows Springfield to manage customer complaints better, it proactively identifies possible issues before they arise allowing us to provide our customers with a world class service. Adhering to this excellent standard underpins Springfield’s production to produce excellent quality products for our customers.”

Dave Medcalf, Springfield’s Enabling Services Manager also expressed his delight at achieving no audit non-conformances while the company continues to grow:

“As we continue to grow, the challenges of maintaining our already high level of quality assurance increases. That is why I am delighted that we, as a company, have worked to achieve this universally accepted high-quality standard.”

The external auditor from SGS expressed how delighted he was with Springfield:

“A thorough review of the planning and implementation of a combined 9001/14001 system was conducted, all elements of the standards were reviewed and found to be well established. No adverse findings were raised in this visit.”

“Good use of new technologies is witnessed throughout, and the 90% electronic workflow works well and is noteworthy. All staff interviewed during this audit were definite and clear of their responsibilities throughout. Well done to all at Springfield.”

Springfield is now in a small bracket of organisations that supply to blue-chip companies that have achieved this standard. Another year goes by, and we continue to delight our clients!
