In this month’s edition of ‘Behind the Teams’ we spoke to Julie Coates, a member of our Print Admin team, to find out a little more about her role at Springfield and the work she does on a day-to-day basis! 

Tell us about your role and what it entails 

I work as a Customer Service Representative within the Print Admin department at Springfield Solutions. 

My job role is to communicate with the customer all the way from their initial enquiry through to processing orders and invoicing through our MIS system. 

Working to our BRC IoP ISO9001 and 14001 procedures, I am the point of contact for a select group of our digital print customers. Some of these accounts include Mirius and Teal and Mackrill. 

Walk us through a typical day in your role! 

I work as part of a great team in Print Admin! Some of my typical day-to-day duties involve creating quotes, creating and sending artwork briefs to customers and cutter orders. 

I also work alongside various other departments in Springfield to ensure a smooth process for the customer.  

This includes liaising with the Studio team regarding design work, the Logistics team regarding deliveries of labels, the Business Development team with enquiries from the customer and the Print Production team for updates on orders. 

Can you share any specific successes you’ve had in your role? 

One of the accounts I manage, Flavour Tech, has seen great success recently. In the 6 months they have worked with us, we have created some amazing looking labels featuring embellishments as well as cartons in various sizes.  

A selection of these labels has even been entered into label awards by Springfield!
