National Portrait Gallery Labels for Daisy Green Collection

Daisy Green

We have worked with Daisy Green Collection since 2021 to produce digitally printed labels for their coffee bean range, including limited edition projects.

Daisy Green – Meet The Brand

The Daisy Green Collection brings relaxed and buzzing Australian food and coffee culture to London. Through individually designed cafes and restaurants, Daisy Green create iconic spaces that become local destinations and meeting points for surrounding residents, workers and visitors.

The company prides themselves on their ‘proper Aussie coffee’, and now offer Daisy Green at home with Warhol-inspired collectable ‘Can of Beans’, as well as ‘Packet of Pods’.

Working with Springfield Solutions

Daisy Green began working with us at Springfield in 2021 as they were looking for a label supplier for their new home retail line. Their projects matched perfectly with the nature of digital printing, allowing agility and efficiency with quick lead times and customisation options.

Our digital label printing methods benefit Daisy Green greatly. From experimenting with our digital label embellishments to launching limited edition products. The flexibility and speed of digital print was a perfect fit for the business!

Springfield’s Digital Label Printing services have greatly benefitted the business, with the ease of being able to order labels directly online and have them shipped out to our canning suppliers… sometimes within 7 days! It’s meant this process has been very easy for us, and we’ve benefitted from a great deal of advice on labelling, gold foiling and spot UV applications as well.” Said Jennifer Tims, Graphic Designer at Daisy Green Collection.

The brand sell their cans of coffee beans in each of their cafés/restaurants, as well as online. Receiving a constant outpouring of love and support for them – both the core product range and limited-edition releases!

The labels for the core product range, seen above, feature digitally printed embellishments. This includes gold foil and spot varnishes which enhance the design.

“Our ‘Can of Beans’, and subsequently, the labels that have made them the success they are, have made quite an impact in a variety of ways.” Said Jennifer Tims.  Daisy Green

One of their limited-edition product launches which made an impact is pictured above, celebrating 10 years of Daisy Green with a very special limited-edition gold foiled can.

This was a huge hit and something to be terribly proud of.” Says Jennifer Tims.

Another special limited release was the ‘Peace Coffee’ product, produced in support of the war efforts for Ukraine. This project saw Daisy Green raise over £50,000 for UNICEF’s #CookforUkraine campaign in 2022. A great collaborative effort between Daisy Green and Springfield for a great cause!

National Portrait Gallery Project

Our latest exciting project with Daisy Green utilised our digital label printing to put famous art pieces onto their cans!

Daisy Green was lucky enough to acquire two beautiful café spaces within the National Portrait Gallery in Central London. As well as full access to thousands of pieces of art within the Gallery archives.

The brand envisioned a collection of coffee cans that would sit perfectly inside their own spaces as ‘works of art’ and coincide with the Gallery’s exhibitions. With access to the archives, and through the close help of the Gallery’s retail and picture teams, Daisy Green released their National Portrait Gallery coffee.

Alongside the Gallery’s re-opening in June of 2023, Daisy Green launched three limited-edition ‘Can of Beans’. This includes Audrey Hepburn (note: their café is named Audrey Green), Yevonde and Anna Mae Wong.

The company now sell their signature coffee within the NPG’s retail store and online.

The team have since been developing further labels to accompany the upcoming exhibitions for 2024. Including a David Hockney ‘Can of Beans’.

The labels are digitally printed on a paper substrate, featuring spot varnishes to enhance the National Portrait Gallery logo.

“Throughout this project, Springfield was able to keep up with our tight timeframes, questions, revisions, and thousands of labels! We couldn’t be happier with Springfield’s service and support. It had been continual, and we have gained a lot from it. It’s a relationship we hope to keep and carry on!” Says Jennifer Tims.
